Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow is looking for a Director, who is the Chief Executive of the Institute and is passionate about leading this value-driven Institute.
The Director would be responsible for fostering innovation in education and research, enhancing collaboration across schools and disciplines, expanding student opportunity, and ensuring that IIM Lucknow continues to serve society. The role of the Director is to provide academic leadership and steer the administration under overall guidelines of the Board of Governors.
Eligibility: The applicant should have a distinguished academic record with first class degree in both Bachelor’s and Master’s level, and with PhD or equivalent from a reputed institute. She/ he should be an aspirational leader with the passion and vision to make IIM Lucknow a world-class institute, backed by excellent academic and professional qualifications, strong communication skills and demonstrated administrative capabilities. The applicant should have:
1. At least 15 years of teaching/research experience, of which at least 7 years should have been as a full Professor at IIMs or other peer institutes in India and/ or abroad.
Or At least 15 years of industry experience in senior managerial positions in reputed organizations in India and/ or abroad.
2. Must be an Indian citizen or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
Selected candidates shall have a contractual tenure of appointment for five years or until attaining the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.
The age of the applicant should preferably not be more than 65 years as on 31 st March, 2024.
The appointment, tenure and performance review will be guided by the IIM Act 2017 & IIM (Amendment) Act, 2023 and IIM Rules, 2018 & IIM (Amendment) Rules, 2023 and IIML Regulations as applicable.
