Recruitment Drive for Ex-Servicemen Announced
The Territorial Army is seeking applications from gainfully employed, ex-commissioned officers of the Armed Forces to serve the nation in a part-time capacity. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for former service members to continue their commitment to the country without a full-time career obligation.
Eligibility and Vacancy Details
The total number of vacancies announced is 11, with 10 positions for male candidates and 1 for a female candidate. These numbers are subject to change based on organizational requirements. To be eligible, applicants must be citizens of India, male or female, between the ages of 18 and 42 on the date of application.
The essential conditions for eligibility are as follows:
- Only ex-service commissioned officers can apply.
- Applicants must be gainfully employed.
- They must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university.
- Candidates need to be medically and physically fit in all respects.
Important Dates and Application Process
The application submission window will open on September 1, 2025, and close on October 14, 2025. Interested candidates can find the application link on the Indian Army’s official website, www.indianarmy.nic.in, from August 29, 2025. The detailed advertisement will also be published in the Employment News this month.
Please note that applications will only be accepted by post. Incomplete or ineligible applications, as well as those received after the deadline of October 14, 2025, will be rejected without intimation. Applications from civilian candidates will also not be accepted.1
