The Division of Agronomy, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), Pusa, New Delhi, has released a Vacancy Notification for 18 contractual positions under a CSR-funded project. The recruitment is for the posts of Young Professional-I (YP-I) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and will be conducted through an Online Interview.

The positions are under the project titled “Evaluation, outreach and up-scaling of fermented organic manures for sustainably enhancing productivity and reducing environmental footprints of predominant cropping systems in India“.

A total of 18 contractual positions are being filled. These posts are temporary, unreserved, and co-terminus with the project.

If currently working, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer is required.
Interview and Selection
Only short-listed candidates will be called for the interview. The selection process involves a review of received applications by a screening committee, and invitations for the interview will be based on the committee’s recommendations and the candidates’ qualifications.
Preference will be given to those possessing the desirable qualifications. Only candidates meeting the essential qualifications will be interviewed.
Terms of Engagement
Nature of Post and Posting
- The positions are purely temporary and filled on a contractual basis.
- The contract is co-terminus with the Project.
- Young Professional-I (YP-I) Posting: The posting for YP-I will not be at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi. It is a field-based position with postings in villages across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh. Applicants must acknowledge and agree to work in rural areas directly with farmers.
- Selected candidates will be full-time workers required to adhere to the administrative, financial, and disciplinary regulations of ICAR-IARI.
Leave and Declaration
- SRFs and YP-Is are not entitled to any regular leave, but are allowed to have Casual Leave (CL) and Restricted Holidays (RH), not exceeding 10 days in a year.
- Candidates must declare in writing along with the application form if any near or distant relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, providing the relative’s name, designation, nature of duties, and relationship.
- Concealing facts or any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification or termination of candidature.
For any discrepancy, the English version of the notification will be treated as final.
