163 Sikh Light Infantry (TA) Launches Extensive Recruitment Rally in Kargil and Leh

The drive aims to fill a total of 219 vacancies across various roles, with the screening and physical tests scheduled to commence on November 15, 2025, in Kargil and Leh.

Essential Eligibility Criteria

- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 42 years of age as on the date of recruitment.

Recruitment Rally Schedule

Selection Process Overview
The selection process is rigorous and comprises three main stages:
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT): This includes a 1-mile run, Pull Ups, Zigzag Balance, and 9-feet Ditch jump.
- Trade Test: Only applicable to Tradesmen candidates.
- Medical Examination: All selected candidates must undergo a medical inspection.
- Common Entrance Examination (CEE): The final stage for medically fit candidates will be a written examination. The question paper pattern is standardized, with $\ge 32$ correct answers required for a simple pass in Soldier GD.
Important Instructions
- The Territorial Army is a purely voluntary organization with part-time commitment only. The organization does not provide or assume any liability for permanent employment.
- The initial period of enrolment will be seven (07) years only, extendable up to 07 years beyond that.
- Candidates must carry all essential documents in original, including Domicile Certificate, Educational Certificates, Caste/Tribe/Community Certificate, and Marriage/Relationship Certificate (if applicable).1
