Eligibility and Qualification Highlights
The eligibility criteria vary widely by post, requiring qualifications from 10th Pass for roles like Mali and MTS, to Master’s/Post-Graduate Degrees with relevant experience for Deputy Director positions.
- Group ‘A’ Director/Assistant Director Posts: Typically require a Master’s Degree (e.g., in Architecture, Planning, Computer Science/IT, or MBA with specialization) and substantial post-qualification experience ranging from 1 to 6 years, depending on the post.
- Junior Engineer (Civil/Elect./Mech.): Essential qualification is a Diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. B.Tech degree holders may also apply.
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Requires a 12th class pass and a minimum typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer.
- Patwari: Essential qualification is a Graduate degree from any recognized University.
Age Relaxation and Crucial Cut-off Date
The crucial cut-off date for all claims of age relaxation, reservation (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD), and educational qualification is the closing date for online applications, 05.11.2025.
The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories and DDA departmental candidates:
- SC/ST: 5 Years.
- OBC: 3 Years.
- PwBD (Unreserved): 10 Years.
- DDA Departmental Candidates (Group C Posts): Upto 40 years of age (45 years for SC/ST).
Application and Examination Process
Candidates must apply online through the DDA’s official website under the link “Jobs & Internship” → “View All” → “Latest Jobs” → “Job Category” → “Direct Recruitment 2025”. Separate applications and application fees are required if a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post.
Fee Payment and Examination Scheme
The application fee must be remitted online via the SBI MOPS gateway using Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Debit/Credit Cards, or UPI.
- Negative Marking: There will be a penalty for incorrect responses in the multiple-choice question section, with one-third (1/3) of the marks allotted to the question being deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Qualifying Marks: The minimum qualifying marks in the Computer Based Test (CBT) are 40% for UR, 35% for OBC(NCL)/EWS, and 30% for SC/ST.
- Final Merit: The final merit list for posts requiring an interview will be prepared based on marks scored in the Computer Based Examination and the Interview combined. The Computer Knowledge section in the CBT for Stenographer Grade- ‘D’, Patwari, and JSA posts is qualifying in nature and its marks will not be included in the merit list.1
