    Eligibility Criteria and Pay Scale Highlights

    The posts, categorized as Group ‘B’, General Central Service, Non-Ministerial, Non-Gazetted, have uniform requirements regarding qualification, pay scale, and age limit, though specific subjects apply to the TGT roles.

    TGT Essential Educational Qualifications

    For most TGT posts, a candidate must possess the following essential qualifications:

    1. A Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks (subject studied for at least two years) OR a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in either the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree OR a 4-year integrated programme/degree (B.El.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed.).
    2. A B.Ed. or three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from a recognized University/Institute.
    3. A pass in the Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.
      • Note for TGT (Social Science): Candidates must have studied at least one of the following subjects: History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Sociology, Business Studies, or Statistics.
      • Note for TGT (Natural Science): Candidates must have studied at least one of the following science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Anthropology, Life Science, Electronics, Bio-Technology, Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Medical Science, Molecular Cell Biology, Micro Biology, Applied Scienc1e, or Geology.
