Eligibility and Selection Process
Educational Qualification
Minimum/Essential Qualifications
- Tradesman Mate, Fireman, Cook, Washerman: Candidates must be a Matriculation Pass (10th pass) or equivalent.
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Storekeeper, and most Highly Skilled/Technical Posts: Candidates must typically be a 12th Pass or equivalent. For many technical trades, an ITI Certificate in the relevant trade is mandatory, such as Electrician, Fitter, Welder, etc. LDC also requires a minimum typing speed.
- Junior Technical Training Instructor (JTTI): Qualifications like a B.Sc. in Physics and Maths are required for certain specialised posts which were part of a separate notification for 69 posts, potentially bringing the total vacancies to 263.
Age Limit
- The minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 25 years as of the closing date of application for most Group ‘C’ posts.
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10-15 years) as per Government of India rules.
Selection Procedure
The selection process is multi-staged and includes:
- Written Test: An Objective Type (OMR-based) test of 150 marks for all trades. It may include negative marking.
- Skill Test / Physical Test: This is conducted for candidates who qualify in the written test and is typically a qualifying nature test (e.g., typing test for LDC, physical test for Fireman).
- Document Verification: Final verification of all original documents.
The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the Written Test.

Eligible candidates must follow the strict offline application procedure:
- Download and Print the prescribed application form from the official notification PDF.
- Fill the form carefully with accurate personal and educational details.
- Attach self-attested copies of all necessary documents (educational certificates, age proof, caste/category certificate, etc.).
- Enclose a self-addressed envelope (size 10.5 cm x 25 cm) with a postal stamp of Rs. 5/- affixed.
- Super-scribe the envelope clearly with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF [Post Name]” and the respective category.
- Send the complete application by ordinary post to the address of the concerned unit/establishment as mentioned in the official advertisement.
