Mumbai Sarkari Naukri 2025 Key Details
- Position: Junior Professional Intern (Civil)
- Number of Posts: 20
- The last date to apply is July 21, 2025.
- Period: Initial engagement of 2 years, extendable by an additional 2 years based on performance. Performance reviews will occur every 6 months.
- Remuneration: Consolidated amount of Rs. 40,000 per month, with a 5% annual increment based on satisfactory performance. No other allowances (like DA, HRA, TA, medical reimbursement) will be provided. TA/DA for joining or completing the assignment is not included; travel compensation (if required for work) will be as per MbPA norms. TDS will be deducted.
- Place of Posting: Civil Engineering Department of Mumbai Port Authority.
- Leave: 20 days of Casual Leave per calendar year on a pro-rata basis. Unavailed leave cannot be carried over or encashed. Absence exceeding 20 days (pro-rata) will result in remuneration deductions, and absence of more than 15 days beyond entitled leave may lead to termination.
- Accommodation: May be provided at MbPA quarters (Class III B, subject to availability) at a rent of 10% of consolidated remuneration plus single license fees, electricity, and water charges. A security deposit of two months’ rent is required.
- Medical Facilities: OPD and IPD facilities will be provided at MbPA hospital/dispensary with medicines. No referrals for outside treatment, and no medical facilities for family/dependents.
- Working Hours: Normally 10 AM to 6 PM on working days, but may be extended. Compensatory off will be granted for work on weekly off/public holidays.
- Other Conditions: Interns must use their own laptops; MbPA will provide working space and internet. A 1-2 week orientation training will be provided. Performance will be appraised periodically, and reports/papers must be submitted. Interns are subject to the Official Secrets Act, 1923, and verification of criminal antecedents.
- Termination: Engagement can be terminated by MbPA with one month’s notice or proportionate remuneration. Interns must give one month’s notice to disengage. Termination can be immediate for reasons like unsatisfactory work, lack of honesty, or false credentials.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Essential: B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent, OR a First Class Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution in India.
- Desirable: Experience in a relevant field (field work, policy papers, project appraisal/monitoring) and working knowledge of Hindi and Marathi.
- Age Limit: Less than 35 years as of June 20, 2025, and in good health.
- Soft Skills: Eager to learn, excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to multitask, cope under pressure, strong data modeling, research, and analytical skills.

The filled application form, along with required documents, must be sent to “The Chief Engineer, Mumbai Port Authority, Civil Engineering Department, Port House, 3rd Floor, Shoorji Vallabhdas Marg, Ballard Estate, Mumbai – 400001” before July 21, 2025. Incomplete applications or mere submission of CVs will lead to rejection. Shortlisted candidates may be called for a test/interview.
