पात्रता, चयन प्रक्रिया और आवेदन की समय-सीमा
मुख्य पात्रता मानदंड
उम्मीदवारों के पास किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय/संस्थान से संबंधित विषय (इलेक्ट्रिकल, सिविल, कंप्यूटर साइंस या इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स) में पूर्णकालिक बी.ई./बी.टेक / बी.एससी (इंजीनियरिंग) की डिग्री होनी चाहिए। न्यूनतम 60% अंक या समकक्ष सीजीपीए अनिवार्य है। आवेदकों के लिए ऊपरी आयु सीमा 31 दिसंबर 2024 को 28 वर्ष निर्धारित की गई है।
चयन और मुआवजा
चयन प्रक्रिया में उम्मीदवार के GATE 2025 में प्रदर्शन को अत्यधिक महत्व दिया गया है, जिसका अंतिम स्कोर में 85% भार है। शेष भार ग्रुप डिस्कशन (3%) और पर्सनल इंटरव्यू (12%) के बीच विभाजित है।
मुआवजा संरचना:
- प्रशिक्षण अवधि (एक वर्ष): चयनित उम्मीदवारों को ₹ 40,000/- -3%-1,40,000 (IDA) के वेतनमान पर रखा जाएगा, साथ ही मानक भत्ते और अनुलाभ भी दिए जाएंगे।
- प्रशिक्षण के बाद (E2 स्केल): प्रशिक्षण के सफल समापन पर, उम्मीदवारों को इंजीनियर्स के रूप में E2 स्केल में ₹ 50,000/- -3%-1,60,000/- (IDA) के संशोधित वेतनमान पर नियुक्त किया जाएगा।
प्रशिक्षण अवधि सहित न्यूनतम तीन वर्ष की सेवा पूरी करने के लिए उम्मीदवारों को एक अनिवार्य सेवा समझौते का बांड निष्पादित करना होगा। बांड राशि सामान्य/ओबीसी (एनसीएल)/ईडब्ल्यूएस उम्मीदवारों के लिए ₹ 5,00,000/- और एससी/एसटी/पीडब्ल्यूडी उम्मीदवारों के लिए ₹ 2,50,000/- है।

POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD. (POWERGRID), a ‘Maharatna’ Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Power, has announced a major recruitment drive for the post of Engineer Trainee using the GATE 2025 score. In a joint advertisement (Ref: CC/07/2024 dtd. 27.09.2024), its wholly-owned subsidiary, the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL), is also recruiting for the same position.

Eligibility, Selection Process, and Application Timeline
Key Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a Full time B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engg.) degree in the relevant discipline (Electrical, Civil, Computer Science, or Electronics) from a recognized University/Institute. A minimum of 60% marks or Equivalent CGPA is mandatory. The upper age limit for applicants is set at 28 years as on December 31, 2024.
Selection and Compensation
The selection process is heavily weighted on the candidate’s performance in GATE 2025, which accounts for 85% of the final score. The remaining weightage is distributed between a Group Discussion (3%) and a Personal Interview (12%).
Compensation Structure:
- Training Period (One Year): Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 40,000/- -3%-1,40,000 (IDA), along with standard allowances and perks.
- Post-Training (E2 Scale): Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in the E2 scale with a revised pay scale of Rs. 50,000/- -3%-1,60,000/- (IDA).
A compulsory Service Agreement Bond is required for candidates to execute a service of minimum three years, including the training period. The bond amount is INR 5,00,000/- for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates and INR 2,50,000/- for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
