The National Investigation Agency (NIA), functioning under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has released a recruitment notice (No. E-78/01/Dep-DEO/NIA/2025/ 11879) dated 11/09/2025 for filling the posts of Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Lower Division Clerk (LDC) on a deputation basis. The vacancies are to be filled on an All India basis.
Vacancy Details and Pay Scales
The NIA is seeking nominations for a total of 40 posts across the two categories, with the potential for variation depending on final requirements. The details of the posts, their respective Pay Matrix Levels, and the number of vacancies are outlined in the table below:

The proposed place of posting for all selected candidates will be All India based.
Application and Eligibility
Interested officials must forward their nominations through the proper channel to the Superintendent of Police (Admn), NIA HQ, Opposite CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003.
The complete application, along with all requisite documents, must reach the NIA within 45 days from the date of the notice’s publication in the ‘Employment News’.
Mandatory Documents to be Submitted:
- Bio-data in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-II).
- Photo copies of APAR dossier for the years 2020-21 to 2024-25, duly attested.
- Departmental Enquiry/ Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
- Integrity Certificate.
- Details of major/minor penalties imposed on the official during the last 10 years.
- For the post of Data Entry Operator Only: Supporting documents for possessing an ‘O’ or ‘A’ level certificate for Information Technology from a Government-recognized Institute.

Candidates are advised that once they apply for the post, they will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently. Incomplete applications, applications received after the last date, or those not accompanied by the necessary documents will not be considered.
