Government of Bihar Initiatives to Strengthen Rural Livelihoods
The Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), an autonomous body under the Rural Development Department, Government of Bihar, is expanding its initiatives to empower rural communities. Designated as the State Rural Livelihoods Mission by the Rural Development Department, BRLPS has been instrumental in scaling up the “JEEVIKA” model across all 534 blocks in 38 districts of Bihar under the National Rural Livelihood Mission.
The Role of the Project Management Unit (PMU)
In a new development, BRLPS is also implementing the Satat Jeevikoparjan Yojna (SJY). To ensure the success of this project, a new Project Management Unit (PMU) is being established. This PMU will play a crucial role in providing support for program management, capacity building, livelihood promotion, asset transfers, and ensuring convergence with other government programs. The establishment of this unit marks a significant step towards creating sustainable economic opportunities for rural populations.
BRLPS Seeks Expert Consultants for Key Positions
To staff the new PMU, BRLPS is currently seeking applications from reputed and experienced consultants for various specialized roles. A total of eight positions are available, offering a monthly remuneration ranging from ₹55,000 to ₹1,05,000.
