Candidates will be selected based on their performance in a Written Test & Interview. The written examination will consist of three subjects, totaling 400 marks. The subjects include General Hindi (100 marks), General Knowledge (100 marks), and Horticulture or Agricultural Science (200 marks).

The application fee varies based on the category of the candidates and includes an additional ₹200 for biometric services. The fee structure is as follows:

  • General Candidates: ₹750
  • SC/ST: ₹200
  • All reserved/unreserved category female candidates: ₹200
  • PwD candidates (40% or above): ₹200

How to Apply

Important Instructions

After finally submitting the online application, candidates should re-login immediately, download the filled application from the ‘Download Filled Application’ section available on the dashboard, and print two copies of it. All the certificates or documents related to the advertisement must be preserved. The candidate must produce the hard copy and all relevant original certificates at any time or as per the requirement by the Commission.

The Bihar Public Service Commission came into existence from 1st April 1949 after its separation from the Commission for the States of Orissa and Madhya Pradesh, in accordance with sub-section (1) of section 261 of the Government of India Act, 1935, as adapted. Its constitutional status was pronounced with the promulgation of Constitution of India on 26th January, 1950. It is a Constitutional Body under Article 315 of the Constitution of India.
