    RANCHI: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has released an important public notice regarding the regular appointment of University Professor-cum-Chief Scientist positions at Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, and the College of Fisheries Science, Gumla. This notice, referencing advertisement number 10/2023, provides an update on the screening process for applicants.

    Screening Process and Candidate Status

    The commission has scrutinized the applications received for various subjects under the specified institutions. According to the notice, the eligibility of candidates was checked based on the criteria outlined in clause 04 of the advertisement. Following this, a list of eligible and ineligible candidates has been published on the JPSC website.1

    • Soil & Water Conservation Engineering (Ranchi): Out of 3 applications received, 1 has been shortlisted.
    • Aquaculture (Gumla): All 2 applications received have been considered.
    • Harvest & Harvest Technology (Gumla): The single application received has been processed.
    • Fisheries Resource Management (Gumla): Out of 3 applications, the candidates have been evaluated.

    Claiming against Ineligibility

    Candidates who have been declared ineligible have been advised to check the reason for their disqualification on the published list. If an ineligible candidate wishes to challenge this decision, they can submit their claims with supporting evidence to the email address bauobjection@jpsc.gov.in.

    The deadline for submitting such claims is September 29, 2025. Claims received after this date will not be considered. The notice also clarifies that any certificate issued after the last date for online application, May 14, 2023, will not be considered valid.

    The notice, signed by the Controller of Examinations (In-charge) of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission, serves as a crucial update for all aspirants who applied for the said positions.
