Sarkari Naukri 2025: AAI Eastern Region Recruitment for Senior Assistants

Airports Authority of India (AAI), Eastern Region, has issued an advertisement (Advt. No. ER/02/2024) for the recruitment of Senior Assistants in Electronics, Accounts, and Official Language. The pay scale for these NE-6 level posts is Rs. 36,000-3%-1,10,000 (IDA). In addition to the basic pay, employees will receive a Dearness Allowance, perks at 35% of the basic pay, HRA, and other benefits as per AAI rules.
Reservation Details
- Senior Assistant (Electronics): 12 posts for UR, 3 for SC, 3 for ST, 1 for OBC (NCL), and 2 for EWS. A total of 3 posts are horizontally reserved for Ex-Servicemen (ESM).
- Senior Assistant (Accounts): 8 posts for UR, 1 for ST, and 1 for OBC (NCL). One post is horizontally reserved for Ex-Servicemen (ESM).
- Senior Assistant (Official Language): 1 post for UR.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old as of July 1, 2025. Age relaxations are applicable for certain categories:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years.
- SC/ST: 5 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation is as per Government of India orders, with the length of service extended by 3 years.
- AAI Regular Employees: 10 years, with an additional 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Widows, Divorced women, and women judicially separated: Up to 35 years, with relaxations for SC/ST (40 years) and OBC (38 years).
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Senior Assistant (Electronics): Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunication, or Radio Engineering with two years of relevant experience.
- Senior Assistant (Accounts): A graduate degree, preferably B.Com., with computer literacy in MS Office, and two years of relevant experience.
- Senior Assistant (Official Language): A Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a graduation subject, or a Master’s in English with Hindi as a graduation subject. Other combinations of Master’s degrees and graduation-level Hindi/English are also acceptable. Candidates must also have computer literacy in MS Office (Hindi) and two years of relevant experience in the concerned discipline.

Application Fee
- Amount: Rs. 1000 (including GST) for UR, OBC, and EWS candidates.
- Exemptions: Women, SC/ST, and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the fee.
- Payment Method: The fee must be paid online via net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
Selection Process
The selection process for all posts will include a Computer Based Test (CBT) with a duration of two hours and a total of 100 marks. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Syllabus
- Senior Assistant (Electronics) & Senior Assistant (Accounts): 70% of the questions will be based on the educational qualifications required for the post, and 30% on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude, and English.
- Senior Assistant (Official Language): 50% of the questions will be based on the educational qualifications, and 50% on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude, and English.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- UR/EWS/OBC(NCL)/Ex-SM: 50%.
- SC/ST: 40%.
Additional Requirements
- Senior Assistant (Electronics): Appointment is subject to the completion of a 12-week Ab-Initio Training and a 4-week On-the-Job Training. During the training, candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 25,000 per month and must execute a bond with AAI.
- Senior Assistant (Accounts) & Senior Assistant (Official Language): Candidates who qualify the CBT will have to appear for a two-hour Computer Literacy Test in MS Office (Hindi for Official Language). Appointment is based on the CBT merit list, contingent on qualifying the Computer Literacy Test.

- Last date for submission of online application with fee: 26/08/2025.
- Tentative date of online examination: Will be announced on the AAI website.
Exam Centers
The computer-based test will be held at various centers in West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Sikkim, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Requests for changing the date, time, or venue of the exam will not be entertained.

- In case of a tie in CBT marks, the older candidate will be ranked higher. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with higher marks in the subject-related section (Part A) will be ranked higher.
