Eligibility Criteria3
Age Limit: The applicant must not be less than 20 (Eighteen) years old and must not be more than 30 (Thirty) years old as on 1/1/2024. Upper age limit is relaxable as per age relaxation rules.
Educational Qualifications: The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent.
Language : (i) The applicant must be able to speak, read and write Bengali Language. However, this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents
of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.
(ii) For the applicant of hill subdivisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong District, the provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official language Act, 1961 will be applicable.

Selection Procedure
The posts of Constable in West Bengal Police shall be filled up on the basis of Written Examination followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Interview to be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.
