    Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2026: UPSC Announces Recruitment Schedule

    The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the dates for the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination, 2026. This examination is being held for recruitment to various Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ posts in the Geological Survey of India and the Central Ground Water Board.

    Key Dates and Examination Details

    The Stage-1 of the examination is scheduled to take place on February 8, 2026. Successful candidates from this stage will proceed to Stage-II, which is slated for June 20th and 21st, 2026. The examination will be held at various centres located across the country.

    Vacancies and Application Process

    This recruitment drive is for the following posts:

    • Geological Survey of India: Geologist Group ‘A’, Geophysicist Group ‘A’, and Chemist Group ‘A’.
    • Central Ground Water Board: Scientist ‘B’ (Hydrogeology) Group ‘A’, Scientist ‘B’ (Geophysics) Group ‘A’, Scientist ‘B'(Chemical) Group ‘A’, Assistant Hydrogeologist Group ‘B’, Assistant Chemist Group ‘B’, and Assistant Geophysicist Group ‘B’.
