JAIPUR — The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has commenced the online application process for the recruitment of 6,500 Senior Teachers in the state’s Secondary Education Department. The application window, which opened on August 19, 2025, will close on September 17, 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill a significant number of teaching positions across various subjects in both non-scheduled (Non-TSP) and scheduled (TSP) areas.

The RPSC Senior Teacher (Grade-II) Competitive Exam 2025 is scheduled to be held from September 7 to September 12, 2025. The official notification for the recruitment was released on July 17, 2025, with the application link becoming active on August 19, 2025. The deadline for submitting online applications and paying the application fee is September 17, 2025.

A total of 6,500 vacancies have been announced, with 5,804 positions for Non-TSP areas and 696 for TSP areas. The subject-wise distribution of vacancies is as follows:1

- Urdu: 48 posts (48 Non-TSP, 0 TSP)
- Punjabi: 11 posts (11 Non-TSP, 0 TSP)
- Sindhi: 2 posts (2 Non-TSP, 0 TSP)
- Gujarati: 1 post (1 Non-TSP, 0 TSP)
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements as of January 1, 2026:
- Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a UGC-recognized university is required. Candidates must have the concerned subject as an optional subject, along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). For Science and Social Science, candidates must have at least two specified optional subjects as per the official notification. A working knowledge of Hindi written in the Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture is also necessary.
- Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
Application Fee
The application fee is payable online and varies by category:
- ₹600: General (Unreserved), Backward Class (Creamy Layer), and Most Backward Class (Creamy Layer).
- ₹400: Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer), Most Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Sahariya Primitive Tribe, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
How to Apply
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official RPSC website, rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. The application process involves completing a one-time registration (OTR) through the SSO portal, filling out the application form with personal and academic details, uploading required documents, and paying the application fee. Candidates are advised to keep a hard copy of the submitted form for future reference.
