    Ajmer, August 20, 2025 – The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has issued a detailed advertisement for the recruitment of 12 posts of Junior Legal Officer (JLO) for the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA). This recruitment is being conducted under the Jaipur Development Authority Employees (Recruitment & Promotions) Regulations, 2023.

    Recruitment Details

    Position Breakdown

    A total of 12 posts will be filled, though the number may be subject to change.

    • Unreserved (Gen./UR): 2 posts
    • Scheduled Caste (SC): 1 post
    • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 1 post
    • Other Backward Class (OBC): 2 posts
    • Most Backward Class (MBC): 0 posts
    • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 1 post

    Provisions for reservation are also available for women, widows, and divorced women. Horizontal reservation is also available for ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities.

    Important Dates

    • Online Application Start Date: August 27, 2025.
    • Online Application End Date: September 25, 2025, until 12:00 AM.

    Educational Qualification and Age Limit

    Candidates must have a degree in law from a university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification declared by the government. Practical knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture is also required.

    The age limit is a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 40 years as of January 01, 2026. Provisions for relaxation in the upper age limit are also available for candidates of various categories.

    Application Fees

    Fees must be paid through One Time Registration (OTR):

    • General (Unreserved) / OBC (creamy layer)/MBC (creamy layer): ₹600/-.
    • Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC-non-creamy layer/MBC-non-creamy layer/EWS) and Sahariya: ₹400/-.
    • Persons with Disabilities: ₹400/-.
    • Applicants from other states will be considered under the general category and will have to pay the fee prescribed for the general category.

    Selection Process

    The selection will be based on a written examination and an interview.

    Written Examination

    The written examination will consist of four papers, each worth 50 marks.

    1. Paper I: Constitution of India (Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles, Writs, and the functioning of the High Court and Supreme Court).
    2. Paper II: Civil Procedure Code and Criminal Procedure Code.
    3. Paper III: Evidence Act, Limitation Act, Interpretation of Statutes, Drafting, and Conveyancing.
    4. Paper IV: General Hindi (25 marks) and General English (25 marks).

    The duration for each paper will be 3 hours. All papers will be objective-type, with 150 questions each. There will be a negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect answer. A minimum of 40% marks is required in each paper to pass the examination, although there is a 5% relaxation for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

    Interview

    Candidates who achieve the minimum passing marks in the written examination will be called for an interview. The marks allotted for the interview will not exceed 10% of the total marks.

    Special Instructions

    • Each question in the exam will have five options, one of which must be filled on the OMR sheet with a blue ballpoint pen.
    • If a question is not attempted, it is mandatory to blacken option number ‘5’. Failure to do so will result in a deduction of 1/3 of the marks for that question.
    • If a candidate fails to blacken any option for more than 10% of the questions, they will be disqualified.

    Important Information

    While filling out the online application form, candidates must correctly enter their mobile number and email ID, as all future notifications will be sent to them. If a candidate is absent from two recruitment examinations in one financial year, their online application facility will be temporarily blocked. This facility can be reactivated by paying a fee of ₹750.
