Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
A candidate must possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from a recognized university in one of the following fields, or any other equivalent/recognized qualification notified by the Food Authority with prior approval of the Central Government:
- Food Technology
- Dairy Technology
- Biotechnology
- Oil Technology
- Agricultural Science (including Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, Fisheries, Food Technology, Food Nutrition & Dietetics, Horticulture)
- Veterinary Science
- Biochemistry
- Microbiology
- Chemistry (candidates with a Bachelor’s degree including Chemistry as a subject are eligible)
- Medicine (including Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery, Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, Bachelor of Sowa Rigpa Medicine and Surgery)
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years

- Age Relaxation:
- 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Government employees/Corporation/Board/Autonomous Institution employees/City Soldiers/Women (Unreserved/Reserved) as per the Madhya Pradesh Government’s circular dated July 24, 2019.
- Ex-servicemen are allowed to deduct their entire period of defense service from their age, provided the resulting age is not more than three years above the maximum age limit.
- 5 years relaxation for inter-caste marriage awardee couples (Savarna participant).
- 5 years relaxation for players honored with Vikram Award.
- The maximum age limit, including all relaxations, shall not exceed 45 years.
- Age relaxation and reservations are applicable only to native residents of Madhya Pradesh. Candidates from other states falling under reserved categories will be considered unreserved.
Employment Registration (Rojgar Panjiyan)
- Candidates from other states are exempt from employment registration as per the High Court order dated March 8, 2022.
- Native residents of Madhya Pradesh are not required to have live employment registration at the time of application, but a valid registration certificate must be submitted to the commission office by the last date for sending desired documents for the interview.
- Government/Corporation/Board/Undertaking/Commission/University/Autonomous Institution employees and City Soldiers working in Madhya Pradesh Government service will be considered eligible if they submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department/office. This NOC will exempt them from employment registration.
Disqualification
- Candidates convicted of any crime against women are not eligible. If a case is pending in court, the appointment will be withheld until the final decision.
- Candidates with more than two living children, one of whom was born on or after January 26, 2001, are not eligible. However, if a candidate already has one living child and the next delivery on or after January 26, 2001, results in the birth of two or more children, they will not be disqualified.
How to Apply
- Applications must be submitted online only through the websites mponline.gov.in and mppsc.mp.gov.in.
- Online application forms can be filled from July 11, 2025, to August 10, 2025 (12:00 PM).
- Detailed instructions for filling the online application form are available in Appendix-3.
Application Fee
- Payment can be made via Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking.
- Cash payments are accepted through authorized MP Online kiosks.
- Bank drafts or checks are not accepted.
- For detailed fee structure, refer to Appendix-03.
- No refund will be provided for excess or erroneous payments.
Error Correction
- Online application forms can be corrected from July 16, 2025, to August 12, 2025 (12:00 PM).
- A correction fee of ₹50 per error per session will be charged.
- No correction will be allowed in the candidate’s name.
- Corrections will not be possible at the examination or interview stage, so fill the form carefully.
- If a reserved category candidate changes to unreserved category during the correction period, they must pay the difference in application fee in addition to the correction fee. No refund will be given if an unreserved category candidate changes to a reserved category.
- Changes in category, gender, or date of birth will not be permitted after the error correction period.
Selection Process
The selection process will involve an OMR-based objective type examination followed by an interview.2
- Written Examination: An OMR-based objective type examination will be conducted at exam centers in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, and Gwalior.
- Interview: Candidates three times the number of advertised posts (and those with equal marks) based on their merit in the written examination will be called for an interview.
- Final Selection: The final selection will be based on the combined merit of marks obtained in the written examination and the interview.
Examination Details
- All information regarding the examination, exam scheme, syllabus, exam date, and admit card availability will be published on the commission’s website mppsc.mp.gov.in.
- A provisional answer key will be released on the website after the examination, and objections can be submitted online within 5 days.
- A non-refundable fee of ₹150 per objection and a separate portal fee of ₹40 per session will be charged for raising objections.
- Objections will be reviewed by a subject expert committee, and their decision will be final.
- In case of discrepancy between Hindi and English translations of a question, the Hindi translation will be considered final.
- If a question has more than one correct option, all correct options will be accepted.
- If none of the given options are correct, the question will be deleted from the question paper.
- The preliminary exam results will be declared based on the final answer key, excluding deleted questions.
- Marks obtained in the written exam and interview, and category-wise cut-off, will not be displayed before the final selection result.
- The final selection result is subject to the final court decisions of pending petitions related to OBC reservation.

- The final selection result of this advertisement will be subject to the final judicial decisions of various petitions, including SLP 8764/2023, WP5596/2024, and other OBC reservation-related petitions. During the pendency of OBC reservation petitions, the exam/selection results will be released based on 87% main part and 13% provisional part, as per the General Administration Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh’s letter dated September 29, 2022.
