BRLPS Seeks Experienced Professionals to Support Rural Livelihoods Mission
Patna, Bihar – In a significant move to strengthen its rural development initiatives, the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), also known as JEEVIKA, has announced a Walk-in Interview for the position of Consultant – Tasar Cocoon Bank. The selection drive aims to recruit a qualified individual to provide technical support and day-to-day management for the Tasar Cocoon Bank Unit located in Baunsi and Katoria blocks of Banka District, Bihar.
The Role and Responsibilities
The selected consultant will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and sustainable growth of the unit. The responsibilities include:
- Providing technical guidance and hands-on support to the Producer Company and JEEVIKA team.
- Focusing on innovation, efficiency, and the overall management of the unit.
Eligibility and Remuneration
JEEVIKA is seeking candidates who meet a specific set of criteria to ensure the highest level of expertise.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold at least a B.Sc. in Agriculture or a higher professional degree from a recognized university or institute. Preference will be given to those with a degree or diploma in Sericulture.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of work experience in cocoon processing and market linkage is mandatory. Applicants should possess expertise in unit operations, training, capacity building, machinery procurement and maintenance, quality control, regulatory requirements, and cocoon marketing.
Remuneration
The successful candidate will receive a fixed remuneration of Rs. 80,000/-, as per the Consultant Policy of BRLPS.

The selection process is a Walk-in Interview, which allows eligible and interested candidates to present themselves directly.
- Date of Walk-in Interview: 23/09/2025
- Reporting Time for Registration: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Candidates arriving after this time will not be permitted to participate.
- Venue: Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS), Annexure-II, 3rd Floor, Vidyut Bhawan (Near income tax round about), Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg (Bailey road), Patna-800021
Candidates are advised to bring original documents along with a set of photocopies of all educational and experience certificates. They should also carry five sets of CVs and two colour photographs.
