Remuneration and Benefits
The Director will receive a monthly salary as per UGC VIII Pay Scale, equivalent to that of a Vice-Chancellor of a public university in Karnataka State. Additionally, the Director will be entitled to other benefits as determined by the Board of Governors of ISEC.
Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications
- An eminent person of impeccable moral and unflinching institutional/organisational commitment.
- An outstanding academic/researcher or academic-cum-researcher with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as Professor or equivalent. This can be in a reputed academic/research/administrative organization with proof of having demonstrated qualities of leadership.
Age Limit
- The selected candidate appointed as Director should be eligible to serve for a maximum term of five (5) years or up to attaining 65 years of age, whichever is earlier. Serving / Retired government officials may apply.
- For serving employees: Due process of applying, a Director under the relevant provisions of law (if force) subject to the age of retirement which is 65 years.
- For retired employees: No departmental/criminal inquiry should be pending.
Other Requirements
- Must submit a vigilance clearance certificate from his/her employer.
- Candidates against whom a vigilance certificate is not found to be false will be subject to stringent action.
