Intelligence Bureau Revises Security Assistant/Executive Vacancies for 2025 Examination
New Delhi — The Intelligence Bureau (IB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has issued a corrigendum revising the number of vacancies for the Security Assistant/Executive Examination – 2025. The updated information pertains to the advertisement published in Employment News dated July 26 – August 1, 2025 (EN No. 17/57).
The total number of vacancies has been revised to 4987. The breakup by category is as follows: UR-2426, OBC-981, SC-620, ST-431, and EWS-529.
This revision specifically affects eight Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaus (SIBs) including Jaipur, Jammu, Kalimpong, Kohima, Kolkata, Leh, Panaji, and Patna. The detailed breakdown of vacancies for these specific locations is as follows:
- Jaipur: 59 UR, 20 OBC (NCL), 20 SC, 13 ST, 18 EWS (Total: 130)
- Jammu: 34 UR, 16 OBC (NCL), 7 SC, 8 ST, 10 EWS (Total: 75)
- Kalimpong: 5 UR, 3 OBC (NCL), 4 SC, 0 ST, 2 EWS (Total: 14)
- Kohima: 24 UR, 0 OBC (NCL), 0 SC, 24 ST, 8 EWS (Total: 56)
- Kolkata: 100 UR, 64 OBC (NCL), 63 SC, 12 ST, 41 EWS (Total: 280)
- Leh: 20 UR, 8 OBC (NCL), 3 SC, 0 ST, 6 EWS (Total: 37)
- Panaji: 54 UR, 16 OBC (NCL), 1 SC, 10 ST, 8 EWS (Total: 89)
- Patna: 50 UR, 30 OBC (NCL), 21 SC, 0 ST, 16 EWS (Total: 117)
All other terms and conditions of the previous advertisement dated July 26, 2025, remain unchanged. The Intelligence Bureau expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by this revision. The corrigendum was published in the Employment News from August 9-15, 2025 (EN 19/100).1
