Mumbai Institute Seeks Applicants for Various Positions
Mumbai — The ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (ICAR-CIRCOT), located in Matunga, Mumbai, has announced a walk-in interview event for several Young Professional-I (YP-I) positions. The engagements are on a purely contractual basis. Applications must be submitted via email by September 26, 2025, with interviews scheduled for September 29, 2025.
Available Positions and Qualifications
The institute is looking to fill five YP-I positions across three different roles, with varying qualifications required for each.1
- Young Professional-I (Civil Engineering): One position is available in the Mechanical Processing Division (MPD). Candidates must be a Graduate or Diploma holder in Civil Engineering, with a desirable two years of experience in civil work. The interview for this role will take place at 11:00 am on September 29, 2025.
- Young Professional-I (Information Technology): One position is open in the Administration division. Applicants should be a Graduate with at least 60% marks in Computer Application, Information Technology, or Computer Science from a recognized University or College. Desirable qualifications include experience with MS OFFICE (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and skills in noting and drafting in both English and Hindi. The interview is scheduled for 2:30 pm on September 29, 2025.
- Young Professional-I (Finance & Accounts): Three positions are available in the Administration division. The minimum essential qualification is a B.Com, BBA, or BBS degree from a recognized University or College with at least 60% marks. Desirable experience includes a minimum of one year in a relevant field, knowledge of IT applications, virtual meeting platforms, and computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Tally. Knowledge of Income Tax and TDS-related work is also desirable. The interview for these positions will be held at 2:30 pm on September 29, 2025.
Contract and Employment Details
Successful candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 30,000. The engagement is for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of two additional one-year extensions based on the institute’s needs and the candidate’s satisfactory performance. The maximum duration of engagement for a YP at ICAR is three years (1+1+1).
The age limit for applicants is 21 to 45 years, with relaxations for reserved candidates as per government rules. Selected candidates will be posted at ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai. Working hours will align with those of regular ICAR employees, with no extra benefits for working beyond office hours.

For the walk-in interview on September 29, 2025, candidates must bring a typed application addressed to the Director, ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai. The application should include a detailed bio-data with a recent passport-sized photograph affixed, and self-attested photocopies of all certificates, testimonials, and credentials supporting age, qualifications, and experience. All original documents must also be presented for verification at the time of the interview.
The interviews will be held at the ICAR-CIRCOT office at Adenwala Road, Near Five Gardens, Matunga, Mumbai 400 019. Please note that no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Candidates currently employed in a government organization must provide a “No Objection Certificate” from their current employer. The Director’s decision regarding the selection will be final. Any form of canvassing will result in disqualification.2
