Overview
Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (GMDC), a leading State PSU and India’s largest merchant seller of lignite, has established the International Centre for Excellence in Mining Safety & Automation (ICEM) at Dev Dholera. This initiative aims to advance mining practices through global collaborations, technology adoption, Proof of Concept (PoC) trials, and future-ready skill development. To strengthen their core team at ICEM, GMDC invites dynamic professionals for various leadership roles.1
Key Details
These contractual roles are for an initial period of 3 years, extendable based on performance. Positions are based at the Dev Dholera Campus.2
Eligibility Criteria
Director – Training & Development
- Education: Postgraduate in Mining / Earth Sciences / Mineral Economics / Management; Doctorate or HRD certification preferred.
- Experience: 15-20 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Skills: Expertise in corporate/academic training, global practices, and multi-stakeholder engagement.
Director – Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships
- Education: Graduate in Science / Engineering with an MBA.
- Experience: 15-20 years of experience in emerging technologies, innovation ecosystems, and tech collaborations.
- Skills: Proven ability in PoC rollouts, strategic partnerships, and techno-commercial evaluations.
Director – Critical Mineral Processing Laboratory
- Education: B.E. or B-Tech in Mineral/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering. Masters/PhD would be an added advantage.
- Desirable: Certification in ICP-MS, SEM, XRD, ISO/IEC 17025.
- Experience: 15-20 years in mineral laboratories / R&D, with 7-10 years in leadership roles.
- Skills: Expertise in analysis, beneficiation, and characterization of REEs & Critical Minerals. Experience in laboratory setup, modernization, and accreditation.
