Defence Institute of Biodefence Technology Announces 11 Research Positions
The Defence Institute of Biodefence Technology (DIBT), Mysore, operating under the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Research Associate (RA) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions. The institute, which focuses on developing detection technologies for food-borne pathogens and toxins of biodefence importance, alongside Military Nutrition research, is seeking young, qualified Indian Nationals for a total of 11 vacancies.
Prospective candidates are invited to apply for the fellowships, which offer opportunities to pursue Defence-related research at the DIBT, located in Siddharthaagar, Mysore – 570011.

The recruitment drive includes posts for one Research Associate and ten Junior Research Fellows across four main disciplines.

Stipend, Tenure, and Application Process

Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates applies for both posts.
Selection and Application
Candidates must possess the required qualifications from a recognized University/Institute. The selection process will tentatively involve a Written Test consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions to shortlist candidates, followed by an Interview.
Applications, along with supporting self-attested documents, must be submitted to the Centre Head, DIBT, Siddharthaagar, Mysore-570011. The deadline for the receipt of applications is 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement (27/9/2025). Candidates currently employed in Government/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview. The offer of fellowship does not confer any right for absorption in DRDO.
