Recruitment Drive for Government Schools and Samagra Shiksha Office
The Directorate of Education, under the U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, is inviting candidates for a walk-in-interview to fill various staff and teaching positions on a short-term contract basis. The interviews are scheduled for September 26, 2025, and will take place at the Government Higher Secondary School, Near Fort, Diu, starting from 8:30 a.m. onwards.1
Available Positions and Eligibility Criteria
The recruitment drive aims to fill several posts, with a total of 30+ vacancies available across different roles. The age limit for all positions is not exceeding 30 years, with an upper age limit relaxation as per Central Government guidelines. The positions and their respective eligibility criteria are detailed below:2
- Assistant Teacher (TGT) – Social Science: There is one position for an Assistant Teacher. Candidates must have a graduate degree with at least 50% marks in the respective subject and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an NCTE-recognized institution, or a four-year integrated B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. degree. The medium of study in SSC must be English.
- Primary School Teacher (English Medium): There are eight vacancies for this role. Essential qualifications include passing Senior Secondary (Class XII) with at least 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. Other eligible qualifications include a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). Additionally, candidates must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Central Government or any State Government.
- Upper Primary School Teacher (English Medium): Six positions are available. The required qualifications include a graduation in B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or a B.Ed. with at least 50% marks. A passing score in the TET is also mandatory for this role.
- Part-Time Instructors: There are three vacancies for part-time instructors, including one each for Art Instructor (Music), Health & Physical Instructor, and Work Education Instructor (Computer).
- Art Instructor (Music): Requires a 12th-class pass with at least 50% marks and a degree, diploma, or certificate in music from a recognized institution.
- Health & Physical Instructor: Requires a 12th-class pass with at least 50% marks and an undergraduate diploma in Physical Education or a B.P.Ed..
- Work Education Instructor (Computer): Requires a 12th-class pass with at least 50% marks and either a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), B.Sc. (Computer/IT), or a Bachelor’s degree with a PGDCA.
- ICT Instructor: Six positions are available. The qualifications are similar to the Work Education Instructor, requiring a Senior Secondary pass with at least 50% marks and a BCA, B.Sc. (Computer/IT), or a Bachelor’s degree with a PGDCA.
- MTS (Multi Tasking Staff): One position is available, requiring a 10th-class pass and knowledge of the local language.
Selection Process and Other Instructions
Candidates are required to bring a hard copy of their application in the prescribed format along with copies of relevant documents to the interview. The selection process will include a written test and a practical test for primary, upper primary, and Assistant Teachers (TGT). A classroom demonstration will also be part of the interview for these teaching posts. Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in the written/practical test to be eligible for the classroom demonstration and interview. A practical test will be held for Part Time Work Education and ICT Instructors.
It’s important to note that a single application for both the Primary and Upper Primary School Teacher positions will not be accepted. Candidates must submit a separate application for each post they wish to apply for.
This recruitment is approved by the Collector of Diu. The advertisement has been issued by the Additional Director of Education, Diu, with a request to upload it on the official websites.
