The strong export performance, particularly in services, contributed to the overall trade deficit for April-August of the current financial year standing at $41.4 billion, a 20.1% decrease from the same period last year.3

    3. Doordarshan Celebrates 66th Foundation Day

    Doordarshan, India’s public service broadcaster, celebrated its 66th foundation day on September 15, 2025. Established in 1959 as an experimental television service under All India Radio, Doordarshan now operates 35 channels, including DD India for international broadcasts.
