Experience: a) Minimum of 7 years post qualification managerial experience in Shipbuilding or Ship Repair or Engineering companies or Marine related Engineering companies or Government/Semi-Government Companies/ Establishments. b) Experience shall be in the areas of Electrical Equipment Installation / Outfitting / Repairs/ Quality Assurance/ Installation and commissioning of Power Generation and Distribution/ Project Execution. c) In case of candidates working in the regular cadre in PSUs / Government/ Autonomous bodies, one-year experience shall be in the immediate lower scale of pay or equivalent. Desirable: a) Experience of working in an ERP /SAP/ computerized environment. b) Good communication skills and working knowledge of Hindi/Marathi. |

OR Post Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration/ Management (Two years) with minimum of 60% marks. Experience: Essential: a) Minimum of 7 years post qualification managerial experience in Administration areas in Public Sector Undertaking or Engineering Company or Commercial Organisation or Government / Semi-Government Companies / Establishments. b) In case of candidates working in PSUs/ Government / Autonomous bodies in the regular cadre, one year experience shall be in the immediate lower scale of pay or equivalent. Desirable: a) Knowledge of rules relating to Estate matters etc as applicable to the state of Maharashtra b) Proficiency in Computer Applications like SAP, Timekeeping software, MS Office etc. |

Cochin Shipyard was conceived of in the year 1969 when a team surveyed various locations in India before selecting Cochin for the launch of the first Greenfield Shipbuilding Yard in the country.
The yard facilities in the first phase were completed by 1982. The yard was designed and constructed under technical collaboration with M/s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (M.H.I), Japan. The company was legally incorporated in the year 1972.
The yard commenced the shipbuilding operations in 1978, shiprepair in 1981, Marine Engineering Training in 1993 and Offshore Upgradation in 1999.
