Coal India Limited (CIL), a ‘Maharatna’ Company is a prominent player in the global energy landscape with operations spanning across eight states of the country. During the year 2022-23, CIL produced 703 Million tons of coal, which is approximately 79% of India’s total coal production. This resulted in profit of Rs.28124 Crores (after Tax).
