    Pandit Ravishankar Shukla Samman 2025: Call for Nominations Announced

    The Chhattisgarh state government has announced the institution of a new state-level award, the “Pandit Ravishankar Shukla Samman-2025,” to honor individuals and organizations for their innovative contributions in the social, economic, and educational sectors. The award aims to encourage and develop outstanding talent within the state.

    Key Details and Eligibility

    The award includes a cash prize of ₹2,00,000 (two lakh rupees), a citation, a memento, and a certificate of honor. Individuals or organizations can apply or be nominated. The deadline for submitting applications is September 22, 2025, at 5:30 PM.

    A selection committee or jury appointed by the state government will evaluate the applications based on the following criteria:

    • Detailed information on innovative efforts and work in the social, economic, and educational fields.
    • Proof of any other awards received.
    • Published work and its theoretical aspects related to outstanding contributions.
    • Letters of appreciation or articles from prominent newspapers, magazines, or books.
    • Written consent from the individual in case of selection.
    • Details of current employment if the applicant is a government employee.

    Submission Process

    Applicants must be residents of the district where they are submitting their application. The completed form must be submitted to the District Collector’s office by the specified deadline. Applications sent directly to the department will not be considered.

    The official notification, numbered G-25260236/4, was issued by Manoj Kumar Jaiswal, Under Secretary, on behalf of the Chhattisgarh General Administration Department.

    About the Award

    The Pandit Ravishankar Shukla Samman is named after Pandit Ravishankar Shukla, the first chief minister of the state of Madhya Pradesh, which then included Chhattisgarh. This award is intended to celebrate and recognize those who have made significant, positive impacts on society through their innovative work and dedication.1
