    PATNA — The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released a crucial notice for candidates appearing in the Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Main (Objective) Competitive Examination, Advertisement No. 43/2025. The notice, issued from the BPSC office located at 15, Nehru Path (Bailey Road), Patna – 800001, provides essential instructions and a strict code of conduct for all examinees.


    Exam Schedule and Reporting Time

    The examination will be conducted on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in two shifts:

    • First Shift: 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM
    • Second Shift: 2:00 PM to 4:15 PM

    Candidates are advised to arrive at their designated exam center 2½ hours before the start of the examination. Please note that entry into the exam center will be permitted only up to one hour before the exam begins. All candidates must remain in the examination room/premises until the exam concludes.


    Important Examination Rules and Regulations

    Scoring System

    The scoring system for the objective examination is as follows:

    • Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks.
    • There will be a deduction of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.

    Prohibited Items

    Candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing the following items into the examination hall:

    • Marker/White Fluid/Blade/Eraser.
    • Electronic gadgets such as Calculator, Mobile, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi gadget, Electronic Pen, Pager, and Smart Watch.

    Possession of any electronic material inside the examination room will be considered misconduct.


    Strict Penalties for Misconduct

    The BPSC has outlined severe penalties for candidates found engaging in misconduct.

    • Candidates found indulging in misconduct or in possession of electronic materials will be barred from all BPSC examinations for the next five years.
    • Furthermore, anyone found spreading misleading or sensational rumors related to the exam will be debarred from BPSC examinations for a period of three years.
    • Punitive action will also be taken against candidates involved in unfair means under the Bihar Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.

    Candidates are advised not to pay attention to any misleading or sensational rumors and to check the official BPSC website for any information related to the commission.1
