Border Security Force Announces Grand Recruitment 2025 for Constable (Tradesmen) Positions!
Overview
The Directorate General Border Security Force (BSF), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Constable (Tradesmen) for the year 2024-25. Applications are invited from eligible and interested male and female Indian citizens to fill 3588 vacancies (3406 Vacancies for Male and 182 Vacancies for Female candidates) for the post of Constable (Tradesman) in various trades. Selected candidates will be appointed to the Border Security Force in the Pay Matrix Level-3, Rs. 21,700-69,100, plus allowances.

Eligibility Criteria
A. Age
- Between 18 to 25 years as on the closing date of online applications. Relaxations for candidates of ST/SC/OBC category and other special categories will be as per instructions issued by Central Govt. from time to time.
B. Education
- (i) For Trades (Constable (Carpenter), Constable (Plumber), Constable (Painter), Constable (Electrician), Constable (Pump Operator) and Constable (Upholster)):
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Two years work experience in the respective trade.
- OR One year certificate course from Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade.
- OR Two years Diploma from Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in the trade or similar trade.
- (ii) For Trades (Constable (Cobbler), Constable (Tailor), Constable (Washerman), Constable (Barber) and Constable (Sweeper)):
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Must be proficient in respective trade.
- Must qualify trade test in the respective trade conducted by recruitment board.
- (iii) For Trades of Constable (Cook), Constable (Water Carrier) and Constable (Waiter)):
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
- National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) Level-I course in Food production or Kitchen from National Skill Dev3elopment Corporation or from the Institute recognized by National Skill Development Corporation.
- Educational certificate other than State Board/Central Board should be accompanied by equivalency certificate issued by the concerned Government of India/State Government department.
- Note: All candidates (except those mentioned below) must have passed Matriculation (10th Class pass) from a recognized Board.

Stages of Recruitment
