    Bihar Technical Service Commission has published an Advertisement for Regular Appointment to the post of Tutor (Nursing). The selection will be based on a written competitive examination and work experience. 1

    Bihar Sarkari Naukri 2025 : BTSC vacancy for Tutor (Nursing) : Key Details

    Job Title: Tutor (Nursing)

    Organization: Bihar Technical Service Commission, Health Department, Bihar, Patna

    Application Dates: Online applications 2 are invited from July 4, 2025, to August 1, 2025.

    Total Vacancies: 498

    Pay Scale: Unrevised Pay Scale: ₹9300-34800, Grade Pay: ₹4800, and Pay Level-8 in the 7th revised pay structure.

    Essential Educational Qualification & Experience:

    • M.Sc. Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing (Basic/Post Basic) Course or Diploma in Nursing Education and Administration (D.N.E.A) Course from a recognized institution approved by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
    • Two years of professional work experience along with the relevant certificate.
    • Registration with the Bihar Nurses Registration Council, Patna, is mandatory.
    • For institutions located outside Bihar, suitability from the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, is compulsory.

    Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025):

    • Minimum Age: 21 years
    • Maximum Age:
      • Unreserved Male: 37 years
      • Unreserved Female: 40 years
      • Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class (Male/Female): 40 years
      • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (Male/Female): 42 years
    • Age relaxation is applicable for Divyang (PwD) candidates (10 years) and Bihar Government employees who have completed three years of continuous service (5 years).
    • Contractual Tutors working in government/non-private nursing educational institutions within Bihar are eligible for age relaxation equivalent to their work period on the same post.

    Application Fee:

    • General/Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class/Economically Weaker Section: ₹600/-
    • SC/ST (Permanent Residents of Bihar State): ₹150/-
    • Reserved/Unreserved Female Candidates (Permanent Residents of Bihar State): ₹150/-
    • Candidates from outside Bihar (Male/Female, any category): ₹600/-
    • Divyang candidates need to pay one-fourth of the fee prescribed for their respective unreserved category. For example, if the unreserved category fee is ₹600, Divyang candidates pay ₹150.
    • Fees are payable online via Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/UPI.

    Selection Process:

    The selection will be based on a written competitive examination and work experience.

    • Written Competitive Examination (Computer Based Test): 75 marks. The score will be calculated by multiplying the percentage obtained by 0.75.
    • Work Experience: 25 marks. 5 marks will be awarded for each year of satisfactory work experience as a Tutor on a contractual basis in government/non-private nursing educational institutions within Bihar. A maximum of 25 marks can be obtained for work experience.
    • The exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice objective questions in Hindi and English, with a duration of two hours.
    • The syllabus will be based on the B.Sc. (Nursing) level as determined by the Health Department, Bihar.
    • Negative marking will be applied (0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer).
    • Normalization process will be used if the exam is conducted in multiple shifts.
    • Minimum qualifying marks in the written exam: General: 40%, Backward Class: 36.5%, Extremely Backward Class: 34%, SC/ST, Women, and Divyang: 32%.
    • Benefits of work experience will only be given to candidates who qualify the written examination.

    Only permanent residents of Bihar State will receive reservation benefits.

    Candidates claiming reservation must have the relevant certificates issued by the competent authority in Bihar.

    Online application requires uploading scanned copies of all relevant certificates (Matriculation certificate, Nursing degree/diploma and mark sheets, Bihar Nurses Registration Council registration, INC suitability certificate for outside Bihar institutions, caste/creamy layer/EWS certificate, domicile certificate, freedom fighter’s descendant certificate, PwD certificate, and work experience certificate in the prescribed format).

    All certificates must be issued on or before August 1, 2025.

    Candidates must keep a hard copy of the final submitted online application and all supporting documents.
