Bank of Baroda is inviting applications from eligible Indian Citizens for the appointment of Local Bank Officers on a regular basis. This is a challenging assignment within one of India’s largest banks.^{1 2}

• Position: Local Bank Officer
• Grade/Scale: JMG/S-I

Eligibility Criteria (as on July 1, 2025):

• Age: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PWD: 10-15 years, Ex-servicemen: 5-10 years, 1984 riots affected: 5 years).
• Education: Mandatory Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute. Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Engineering, or Medical are also eligible.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India. Experience in NBFCs, cooperative banks, Payment Banks, Small Finance Banks, or fintechs will not be considered.
• Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the local language of the State they are applying for.
• Credit History: A minimum CIBIL score of 680 or above is required at the time of joining. Candidates with a record of default in loan/credit card repayments or adverse CIBIL reports are not eligible.

• General, EWS & OBC candidates: Rs. 850/- (Inclusive of GST) + Payment Gateway Charges
• SC, ST, PWD, ESM (Ex-Servicemen) & Women: Rs. 175/- (Inclusive of GST) + Payment Gateway ChargesThe application fee is non-refundable.

Selection Procedure:

The selection process includes an online test, psychometric test, Group Discussion (GD), and/or Interview. The online test structure includes sections on English Language, Banking Knowledge, General/Economic Awareness, and Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. A Language Proficiency Test (LPT) will also be conducted for candidates shortlisted in the online examination, unless they have studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard.

Important Notes:

• Candidates can apply for only one State.
• Selected candidates will be on probation for 12 months.
• A service bond of 3 years or payment of Rs. 5 Lacs (plus taxes) is mandatory if leaving before the completion of 3 years of active service.
• Selected candidates will generally be posted within the applied State for the first 12 years of service or until promotion to SMGS-IV Grade.
