    Engagement of Graduate, Technician and Trade Apprentices

    Overview

    Advanced Systems Laboratory (ASL) Hyderabad a premier Laboratory at APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is inviting applications from young and meritorious Indian Nationals for Engagement of Graduate, Technician (Diploma) and Trade (ITI) Apprentices for one year. Selection will be made on the basis of Academic Merit / Written Test / Interview as required.

    Total Vacancy : 90 Posts

    Position Details, Stipend:

    1. Graduate Apprentices (Total: 15 No.)
      • No. of Apprentices: 9 (Mechanical), 4 (Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Communication), 2 (Computer Science & Engineering)
      • Stipend: Rs. 9000/-
    2. Technician (Diploma) Apprentices (Total: 10 No.)
      • No. of Apprentices: 5 (Mechanical), 5 (Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics)
      • Stipend: Rs. 8000/-
    3. Trade (ITI) Apprentices (Total: 65 No.)
      • No. of Apprentices:
        • Fitter – 33
        • Electrician –12
        • Electronic Mechanic –6
        • Turner –5
        • COPA –5
        • Machinist –4
      • Stipend: Rs.7000/-

    Eligibility Criteria

    1. The fresh pass-out candidates (passed their respective courses in the year 2021, 2022 & 2023) are only eligible to apply. Candidates with post-graduation degrees need not apply.
    2. Those candidates who have completed the essential qualifications in regular mode are only eligible to apply.
    3. Graduate/Diploma/ITI degree holders who have training or job experience for a period of one year or more after acquiring the essential qualification will NOT be eligible for consideration.

    Educational Qualifications:

    1. Graduate Apprentices
      • Essential Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering, Degree in Computer Science & Engineering
    2. Technician (Diploma) Apprentices
      • Essential Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronics Engineering
    3. Trade (ITI) Apprentices
      • Essential Qualifications:
        • ITI in Fitter
        • ITI in Electrician
        • ITI in Electronic Mechanic
        • ITI in Turner
        • ITI in COPA
        • ITI in Machinist

    Important Dates

    Last Date for filling up online Application : 15 days from publication of the advertisement in Employment News (Edition:16-22 March 2024).

    Cut off Date for Eligibility Criteria : Applicants should refer to the detailed notification.

    Selection Procedure

    Selection will be made on the basis of Academic Merit / Written Test / Interview as required.

    1. Candidates for Graduate Apprentice and Technician Apprentice (Diploma) are required to register in National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
    2. Candidates for Trade Apprentice (ITI) are required to register in National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in)
    3. Non-registered candidates will be rejected.
    4. Reservation will be applied as per the provisions of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992, Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2015 and Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2019 as amended from time to time.

    How to Apply

    1. Submit the duly filled application in the prescribed format in closed envelop superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING AT ASL” through registered/speed post addressed to The Director, Advanced Systems Laboratory (ASL), Kanchanbagh PO, Hyderabad-500058.
    2. Application Form can be downloaded from the website1 www.drdo.gov.in. Candidates are required to fill the Application Form by Typing, Affix the Passport size photograph and sign in the Application Form.
    3. Last date for the receipt of application: 15 days from publication of the advertisement in Employment News (Edition:16-22 March 2024).
