Eligibility Criteria (as on July 11, 2025):
- Upper Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- PwBD: 10 Years
- Government Servant/Ex-Service Men: 5 Years
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Associate Professor (Medical Candidates):
- Educational Qualification: MD/MS or equivalent, included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.
- Experience: Six years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution after obtaining the qualifying degree.
- Associate Professor (Super Specialty Discipline):
- Educational Qualification: DM/M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject (2, 3, 5, or 6 years recognized course) or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Four years of teaching/research experience after a 2 or 5-year DM/M.Ch. (after MBBS).
- Three years of teaching/research experience after a 3-year or post-MBBS 6-year DM/M.Ch.
- Assistant Professor (Medical Candidates):
- Educational Qualification: MD/MS or equivalent, included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.
- Experience: Three years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution after obtaining the qualifying degree.
- Assistant Professor (Super Specialty Discipline):
- Educational Qualification: DM/M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject (2, 3, 5, or 6 years recognized course) or equivalent.
- Experience:
- One year of teaching/research experience after obtaining DM/M.Ch. (2, 5 or 6 years recognized course after MBBS).
- No experience necessary for candidates with a 3-year or post-MBBS 6-year recognized DM/M.Ch. degree.
DNB Equivalence:
- DNB holders must provide documentary evidence of equivalence with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch. as per MCI notification dated 31.10.2018.
- Experience requirements for DNB candidates vary based on the institution of training.
Remuneration (Consolidated Per Month):
- Associate Professor: ₹1,88,000/-
- Assistant Professor: ₹1,42,506/-
General Conditions:
- The appointment is for 11 months or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier.
- Purely contractual, no claim for permanent absorption.
- Selected candidates will have clinical, teaching, and research duties.
- Private practice is prohibited.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Applicants already in government service must submit a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” at the time of the interview.
