POWERGRID Opens Apprenticeship Applications for 2025-26 under the Apprentices Act
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has opened online applications for its Apprenticeship 2025-26/01 program. The company is seeking eligible candidates for a one-year APPRENTICESHIP IN DIFFERENT TRADES as per the provisions of The Apprentice Act, 1961, and its subsequent amendments. How to Apply: A Two-Step Process
Step 1: Mandatory Portal Registration
Interested candidates who meet the educational qualifications must first register themselves on one of the following government portals:
Step 2: Submitting the Application via POWERGRID Website
Following successful registration on the portal, eligible candidates must submit their final online application through the POWERGRID website. The application can be accessed by navigating to www.powergrid.in → Careers section → Engagement of Apprentices.
Applicants are advised to:
- View the detailed advertisement regarding state-wise and trade-wise training slots.
- Submit their application based on their preferred choice of state and trade, along with all required documents.
Important Dates and Information
The application window for the apprenticeship program is as follows:
- Date of Opening of Online Application: 15.09.2025
- Last Date of Online Application: 06.10.2025
A special note for candidates is that those who have previously applied in the NAPS/NATS Apprenticeship Portal must still submit their online application through the POWERGRID website, as only applications submitted via the POWERGRID portal will be accepted and considered for engagement.
Furthermore, applicants should note that upon completion of the one-year apprenticeship training, the apprentice will have no claim whatsoever for any employment in the organization.
