PMBI Seeks New CEO, Invites Applications for Top Post
NEW DELHI – The Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI) has announced a vacancy for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at its head office in New Delhi. The notice, advertised as Advt. No. 05/2025, invites applications from eligible candidates to lead the organization at a crucial time in India’s pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
The position falls under Pay Level-13 A of the 7th Central Pay Commission, with a pay scale of ₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900. According to the vacancy notice, PMBI is looking for a serving officer from the Government of India, a State Government, or an autonomous/statutory body or Public Sector Enterprise.
The eligibility criteria are specific and target experienced professionals. Candidates must hold a regular post in their parent organization either in an analogous scale or a higher one. Alternatively, they must be in Pay Matrix Level-13 or equivalent. The notice also allows for applications from officers who have been in regular service for at least three years in Pay Matrix Level-12 or an equivalent scale. The age of the applicant must be below 56 years on the date the vacancy circular was issued.
