Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years as of July 31, 2025.
- Maximum Age: 24 years as of July 31, 2025.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years (up to 29 years).
- OBC (NCL): 3 years (up to 27 years).
- PwBD: Up to 10 years, with additional relaxation for SC/ST (up to 15 years) and OBC-NCL (up to 13 years).
Educational Qualification
The cutoff date for all qualifications is July 31, 2025. Qualifications acquired through part-time, correspondence, or distance learning modes are not considered.
- For Technician Apprentice (Discipline Codes 101-106): A 3-year regular full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline is required. General, EWS, and OBC-NCL candidates need a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates need 45%. The prescribed qualification must have been acquired between April 1, 2022, and July 31, 2025.
- For Graduate Apprentice (Discipline Code 112): A regular full-time Graduate degree in any discipline (BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BBA) is required. The minimum aggregate marks are 50% for General, EWS, and OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. The qualification must have been acquired between April 1, 2022, and July 31, 2025.
- For Trade Apprentice – ITI (Discipline Codes 107-111): Matriculation with a regular full-time 2-year ITI course recognized by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade (Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, or Machinist) is necessary. The qualification must have been acquired between April 1, 2021, and July 31, 2025.
- For Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Discipline Code 113): Must have passed Class 12th (but below graduate).
- For Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders) (Discipline Code 114): Must have passed Class 12th (but below graduate) and possess a ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ skill certificate for a training period of less than one year, issued by an awarding body recognized under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or another authority recognized by the Central Government. The qualification must have been acquired between April 1, 2021, and July 31, 2025.
Ineligibility
Candidates are not eligible if they:
- Have undergone or are currently pursuing apprenticeship training.
- Have one year or more of job experience.
- Possess or are pursuing higher professional qualifications such as B.E./B. Tech., MBA or equivalent, or MCA/CA/ICWA, LLB.
- Apply for more than one discipline code.

Applications must be submitted online through the NAPS/NATS portal. No other means or mode of application will be accepted.

Selection Process
The selection methodology involves preparing a merit list of all eligible candidates based on the percentage of marks secured in their essential prescribed qualification. There will be no written test or interview. Shortlisted candidates, whose documents and pre-engagement medical fitness certificates are in order, will be issued an offer of engagement for the apprenticeship training.

- Xth std /SSLC/Matriculation certificate/mark sheet as proof of Date of Birth.
- Latest Caste certificate for reserved category candidates.
- Certificate from the Institute stating the candidate has pursued a regular mode course and the year of passing.
- Semester-wise / Year-wise mark sheets and the final certificate/diploma.
- Aadhaar Card and PAN Card.
- First page of a Bank passbook of an Aadhaar seeded account and a cancelled cheque leaf.
- Pre-Engagement medical fitness certificate.
