BPSC Sarkari Naukri 2025: Associate Professor Recruitment and Government Job Vacancy

Vacancy Details
The recruitment drive, with advertisement numbers 81/2025 to 86/2025, aims to fill a total of 539 positions for Associate Professors. The department-wise distribution of vacancies is as follows:
- Civil Engineering (विज्ञापन संख्या 81/2025): 122 vacancies
- Mechanical Engineering (विज्ञापन संख्या 82/2025): 97 vacancies
- Electrical Engineering (विज्ञापन संख्या 83/2025): 92 vacancies
- Computer Science & Engineering (विज्ञापन संख्या 84/2025): 173 vacancies
- Electronics & Communication Engineering (विज्ञापन संख्या 85/2025): 43 vacancies
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering (विज्ञापन संख्या 86/2025): 12 vacancies
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant engineering discipline and a First Class or equivalent at either the Bachelor’s or Master’s level. For a degree in engineering/technology, a degree or diploma obtained through Distance Mode/Open University is not valid.
Experience
Applicants must have at least eight years of experience in teaching, research, or industry. A minimum of two years of this experience must be post-Ph.D.. Additionally, candidates are required to have a minimum of six research publications in SCI journals, UGC, or AICTE-approved journals.
Age Limit
As of August 1, 2025, the minimum age for candidates is 30 years, with no specified maximum age limit. The retirement age is fixed at 65 years.
Reservation
Reservation benefits are available only to permanent residents of Bihar. Candidates from outside Bihar will not be eligible for reservation. Female candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar are eligible for 35% horizontal reservation.
Selection Process
The selection process for the Associate Professor Sarkari Naukri 2025 will be based on a weightage scheme totaling 100 points. The breakdown is as follows:
- Academic Background: 20 points
- Evaluation of Academic and Research Performance, Domain Knowledge, and Teaching Skills: 60 points
- Viva-voce (Interview): 20 points
The number of candidates invited for the interview will be five times the number of vacancies. Document verification will be conducted during the interview.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay the following fees:
- General candidates: ₹100
- SC/ST candidates of Bihar: ₹25
- All female candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar: ₹25
- PwD candidates (40% or more disability): ₹25
- Candidates who do not provide their Aadhaar number will have to pay an additional ₹200 as a biometric fee.
How to Apply
- One Time Registration (OTR): Candidates must first complete a One Time Registration on the BPSC website. A valid, active email ID and mobile number are mandatory for OTR.
- Profile Creation: After OTR, applicants will need to create a profile by filling in personal details, address, qualifications, and experience. This includes uploading a live photo from a webcam and a scanned signature in both Hindi and English.
- Application Submission: Once the profile is locked, candidates can apply for the relevant advertisement under the “New Application” tab.
- Payment: The application fee must be paid online.
- Final Printout: After successful submission and payment, candidates must download and print two copies of the filled-out application form from the “My Account” tab. The hard copy must include the Application Number, Application ID, and Bar Code on each page to be considered complete.1 2
