AIIMS Delhi Announces Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-2025 : Overview
The Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-2025 is an initiative to facilitate timely appointments to various regular Non-Faculty Group-B and Group-C posts across participating All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and other Central Government Institutes/Bodies. The CRE platform offers a single-window application system while adhering to the Recruitment Rules (RRs) of each participating Institute/Organization. AIIMS New Delhi’s Examination Section is solely responsible for conducting the Computer Based Test (CBT) and other examination processes, based on the vacancy and eligibility details provided by the independent organizations.
Key Details
- Online applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals.
- Posts include usual allowances as per rules of the respective Institutes/Hospitals.
- The eligibility of candidates is provisional, and candidature may be cancelled if ineligibility is detected at any stage.
- Different posts grouped together may have varying eligibility, relaxation, and service conditions.
- Issuance of an admit card or offer of appointment does not guarantee final appointment; it is subject to eligibility verification.
- The crucial date for determining eligibility (unless otherwise stated) is the closing date of online registration.
- Recruitment Rules of the respective AIIMS/Institute will apply for essential eligibility criteria.
Important Dates
- Date of uploading of Detail Advertisement & Commencement of online registration of application: July 12, 2025
- Closing Date (Last date) for Online Registration: July 31, 2025, Upto 5:00 PM
- Date of status of application form for acceptance to appear in examination: August 07, 2025
- Issue of Admit Card: As per Scheme of examination (3 days before exam date; city/state notified 7 days in advance)
- Date of CBT (Tentative): August 25, 2025 & August 26, 2025
- Date of Skill Test: To be notified later
Application Fees
The following fees apply for application in each group of posts:
- General/OBC Candidates: Rs. 3000/-
- SC/ST Candidates/EWS: Rs. 2400/-
- Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): Exempted
Candidates applying for more than one group must apply separately for each group and pay the fee separately for each group. Payment can be made through DEBIT CARD/CREDIT CARD.
How to Apply
All candidates must apply online through the website www.aiimsexams.ac.in. Applications can only be submitted online up to the specified closing date. No physical documents, including the Registration Slip or proof of payment, need to be sent. However, applicants are advised to keep copies for their records.
Corrections in registration will not be considered via email/letter; candidates must fill the form carefully. Applicants applying under different groups must fill separate applications for each group. Applicants must ensure they meet all essential requirements and eligibility criteria by the closing date of online submission, otherwise, their candidature will be rejected and fees forfeited. Required educational qualifications/experience must be completed on or before the last date of online application submission. Images of photo, signature, and thumb impression must adhere to guidelines in the ‘Upload Image Instructions’.
Choices and preferences for participating organizations will be invited from qualified candidates at a later stage. Failure to exercise choices will result in not being considered for selection. Experience certificates should clearly mention employment duration, basic pay, and nature of duties. A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the present employer is mandatory for candidates working in Government/Semi or Quasi Government/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies or any government-funded institution. This NOC must be produced at the time of Document Verification.
Age Relaxation
The crucial date for age determination is the closing date of online registration.
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PWBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability): 10 years (admissible irrespective of whether the post is reserved for PwBD, provided the post is suitable for the disability category).
- Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers (Group B & C posts): Length of military service plus 3 years.
- Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Group B posts) (3 years regular and continuous service): 5 years.
- Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Group C posts) (3 years regular and continuous service):
- General/Unreserved: Upto 40 years of age
- OBC: Upto 43 years of age
- SC/ST: Upto 45 years of age
- Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir:
- Unreserved/General: 5 years
- OBC: 8 years
- SC/ST: 10 years
- Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and not remarried:
- Unreserved/General: Upto 35 years of age
- OBC: Upto 38 years of age
- SC/ST: Upto 40 years of age
- Defence Personnel disabled in operation (Unreserved/General): 5 years
- Defence Personnel disabled in operation (OBC): 8 years (5+3)
- Defence Personnel disabled in operation (SC/ST): 10 years (5+5)
- Service Clerks in last year of colour service in Armed Forces:
- Unreserved/General: Upto 45 years of age
- OBC: Upto 48 years of age
- SC/ST: Upto 50 years of age
Age relaxation for Central/State Government and Autonomous Institutions, and regular AIIMS employees (3 years regular service) may be allowed unless otherwise indicated in recruitment rules. This may not apply to JIPMER and LHMC & SSSKH, or other institutes if notified. For JIPMER and LHMC & SSSKH, age relaxation is allowed for Central Government personnel with three years of continuous regular service. Any relaxation explicitly mentioned for employees of a specific organization or AIIMS in a post’s advertisement is applicable only for that particular participating organization/AIIMS.
AIIMS Bilaspur allows age relaxation up to 5 years for its staff for posts in the same or allied line, with one year of relaxation for each year of contractual/outsourced engagement, up to a maximum of five years. AIIMS Raipur allows age relaxation up to a maximum of five years for existing contractual employees in similar positions for the period they have served at AIIMS Raipur.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the essential requirements and other stipulated conditions. Detailed post-wise essential qualifications, age, and other eligibility criteria are provided in ANNEXURE-I.1 Examples of eligibility criteria for various posts are, for others you can see detailed advertisement:
- Assistant Dietician/Dietician: M.Sc. (Food and Nutrition) or equivalent with 3 years of experience in a 200-bedded hospital.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): Graduate in Electrical Engineering (desirable 2 years experience in hospital electrical systems) OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 5 years experience in hospital electrical systems.
- Manifold Technicians (Gas Steward): 10+2 in Science with 7 years of experience in Medical Gas Pipeline System in a 200 Bedded Govt. Hospital OR Trade certificate or ITI Diploma in Mechanical Engg. with 5 years experience in Medical Gas Pipeline System in a 200 Bedded hospital.
- Assistant Laundry Supervisor: 12th pass, Diploma/Certificate in Dry Cleaning/Laundry Technology, and 2 years experience in a reputed mechanized laundry.
- Cashier/Junior Accounts Officer: Degree in Commerce with at least 2 years of experience in handling accounts work of a Government Organization and proficiency in Computer Application.
- Technical Officer: B.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology or equivalent with 10 years experience in the concerned field.
- Technician (Laboratory): B.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology or equivalent with 5 years experience OR Diploma in Medical Lab Technology with 8 years experience.
- Medico Social Service Officer Grade I: MA (Social Work)/ MSW with specialization in Medical Social Work, and 5 years’ experience in a government or private sector hospital of minimum 200/500 beds.
- PA to Principal/Personal Assistant/Stenographer: Degree from a recognized University with specific skill test norms for dictation and transcription.
- Senior Nursing Officer: B.Sc. Nursing (4-year course) or equivalent from an Indian Nursing Council recognized Institute/University, registered as Nurses & midwife, and 3 years’ experience as Staff Nurse Gr II in a minimum 200-bedded hospital.
- Medical Record Technician: B.Sc. (Medical Records) OR 10+2 (Science) with at least 6-month Diploma/Certificate course in Medical Record Keeping and 2 years’ experience in a hospital setup.
- Junior Hindi Translator: Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject, and two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government office.
- Tailor Grade III: 10th Standard pass and Certificate from ITI or any other recognised Institution in Tailoring.
Selection Process
The Common Recruitment Examination (CRE-2025) involves a Computer Based Test (CBT) and other examination processes. A Skill Test may be applicable for respective posts for candidates qualified in CBT. Examination will be conducted without initial scrutiny of eligibility; candidates will be disqualified if ineligibility is detected at any stage. Choices and preferences for participating organizations will be invited from qualified candidates at a later stage. A merit list will be prepared, and seats will be allocated based on merit, choices, and preferences.
Certificates
- OBC (NCL) Certificate: Must be valid for the financial year 2025-2026 (income up to March 31, 2025), issued between April 1, 2025, and July 31, 2025. If not available at registration, a previously issued certificate with an acknowledgement slip for renewal can be uploaded, but the valid 2025-2026 certificate must be produced when asked.
- EWS Certificate: Income and Assets certificate on a prescribed format, issued by the competent authority, valid for the financial year 2025-2026 (based on income of FY 2024-2025), and issued from April 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025. Certificates issued beyond these dates will be invalid.
- General Certificate Requirements: Language of certificate should be in Hindi/English and in the prescribed format for the Central Government. Failure to produce valid category certificates (OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PWBD etc.) during document verification will lead to cancellation of candidature. Candidates are advised to obtain required valid certificates in advance.
- PwBD Certificate: Candidates claiming reservation under PwBD quota must have at least 40% physical disability and submit a Disability Certificate from a Competent Authority. Their candidature is subject to evaluation by a Medical Board.
- Educational Certificates/Category Certificates: Must be submitted when required by AIIMS New Delhi or the respective Institute, and on the day of document verification. No additional time will be given for submission.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC): Mandatory for those in employment with state/Central Govt/PSU and must be submitted at the time of document verification or when asked. Failure to submit will result in cancellation of candidature.
