The Indian Navy is inviting applications from unmarried male and unmarried female candidates for the Agniveer (MR – Musician) – 02/2025 batch.1
Key Details and Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Passed Matriculation Examination (10th grade) from a Board of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
- Born Between: 01 September 2004 to 29 February 2008 (both dates inclusive).
Musical Ability Requirements:
Candidates must possess musical ability, which will be assessed through:
- Matching pitch with notes played on a keyboard by the examiner.
- Identifying and imitating a short rhythm played by the examiner.
- Singing any well-known song in tune.
- Performing a prepared piece of music on an instrument.
- Sight-reading Indian/Western classical notation.
- Possessing theoretical knowledge of Taal/Raag/Scales.

Selection Criteria:
Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit based on their performance in Music Ability Test. Shortlisting of candidates for recruitment process will be based on marks obtained in the matriculation examination. Only candidates holding valid
music certificates (Degree/ Diploma/ Grade/ Certificate of Competitions) will be considered for shortlisting.
