The World Skill Center (WSC), is an Advanced Skill Training Institute and Section 8 Company, under the Odisha Skill Development Authority, Govt. of Odisha. Set up in Bhubaneshwar, with technical assistance from ITEES, WSC caters primarily to the best talent from an ITI or a Polytechnic and trains them to become globally employable in emerging areas, known more popularly as “industry 4.0”.
Modeled after ITE, Singapore – the Harvard or MIT of the skill world today – WSC is a state of the art, 18-storey, almost half a million square feet, air-conditioned building in the heart of Bhubaneswar. It has a collection of 8 Centres of Excellence in terms of current curriculum and the hands-on experience available by bringing in global curriculum, pedagogy and super-state-of-the-art equipment. The eight disciplines offered are: Mechatronics, Facility Technology, Vertical Transportation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration, Precision Engineering, Electrical Technology.
